Troubleshoot Lift efoil Connection Issues

Cutoff issues can be tricky, we'll need to do some troubleshooting:
First, when the board cuts off, do you need to open the hatch and press power again?
Second, please do a signal test and share the results.

  • While the hatch is closed and the board is on the water, we want to check the signal strength.
  • We’ll want to know the strength from a riding position and also from holding the controller above the nose of the board.
  • If your hand controller is running version 3.4.10 or later, you can now access its AUX menu.
  • Just press and hold the "-" button.
  • The first screen you'll encounter in AUX mode is the Firmware Readout.
  • You can navigate through other screens using the "+" and "-" buttons.
  • Scroll until you find the RSSI screen, it shows received signal strength for the board.
  • Once you're done, press and hold the "-" button again.

And, let's make sure the board has no external damage because if the interior foam gets wet that causes cutouts.
If it's a lift3 or earlier model, remove the antenna cable from inside the board to inspect the area for any moisture or water and that the antenna is not loose. The antenna should be screwed on, and the foam surrounding it should be dry and flaky.

Fiber Glass boards and Carbon boards from 2023 usually have signal strength from 20-40, however even going up to 50 is still good enough to pass quality control.
Carbon boards from 2022 usually have signal ranging from 40-50
